Description

The MSI SPATIUM S270 is a 480GB 2.5-inch internal solid state drive that upgrades an ageing laptop or desktop from a mechanical hard drive to fast, quiet SATA storage. It connects over the standard SATA III 6Gbps interface, so it fits almost any system with a 2.5-inch drive bay.

Sequential reads of up to 500MB/s and writes of up to 450MB/s cut boot times and speed up everyday file transfers. With no moving parts, the drive runs silently and draws little power, which helps battery life in notebooks.

The drive pairs a Phison S11 controller with 3D NAND flash and is rated for 250 terabytes written across its life. It is backed by a 5 year limited warranty.
