Description

The Aten CS1708A is an 8-port KVM switch controlling multiple computers from a single PS/2 or USB console.

Up to 31 additional switches can be daisy-chained, extending control to as many as 256 computers from one console. A front-accessible USB port lets each computer's peripherals be reached individually, and Video DynaSync stores the console monitor's EDID to optimise display resolution automatically.

No software is required, with computer selection available via front panel pushbuttons, hotkeys or a multilingual on-screen display. Two-level password security supports up to four users and an administrator, each with a separate profile, and hot-pluggable ports let computers be added or removed without powering down the switch.
