The Bambu Lab P2S Combo is an enclosed CoreXY 3D printer paired with the AMS 2 Pro automatic material system, offering multi-colour printing across up to 16 colours with active filament drying in a single desktop setup. It is built on the P-Series platform that has been in use by makers, schools, and small workshops for several years, with the P2S bringing a new generation of servo extrusion, touchscreen interface, and AI-assisted print monitoring.
Reliable extrusion is the foundation of consistent print quality, and the P2S addresses this with a PMSM servo extruder delivering up to 8.5 kg of extrusion force, roughly 70 per cent more than its predecessor. The extruder detects filament grinding and clogs in real time, pausing or adjusting rather than continuing through a failed print. Active flow rate compensation works alongside the servo system to calibrate flow dynamics continuously, so extrusion stays consistent whether the print is running at low detail speed or pushing toward the 600 mm/s maximum.
The enclosed chamber helps maintain temperature stability when printing ABS, ASA, PA, and composite materials that are prone to warping in open-air environments. A 5-inch 1080p touchscreen runs Bambu Lab's second-generation interface, giving straightforward access to print control, calibration, and monitoring. A built-in camera supports remote oversight and timelapse capture through the Bambu Handy app. The included 0.4 mm hardened steel nozzle handles standard PLA and PETG as well as carbon-fibre and glass-fibre composites without requiring a nozzle swap.
The AMS 2 Pro adds automated filament switching with 60 per cent faster feeding compared with the previous AMS generation. During standby, it operates as a filament dryer at temperatures up to 65°C, with RFID-based automatic recognition of Bambu Lab filament profiles so drying settings are applied without manual input. The P2S supports connection of up to four AMS 2 Pro units for extended colour workflows. Supported filaments include PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PA, PA-CF, PETG-CF, PLA-CF, and PET, among others.
