Rexel Products at Everyday Home Living
Rexel is a British office equipment brand with a long history in document management, producing laminators, shredders, and related office equipment trusted in Australian offices, schools, and businesses. Our Rexel range covers A3 and A4 laminators and micro-cut and cross-cut document shredders for Australian home office and business use.
Rexel Laminators
Rexel SG300 laminators are available in A4 and A3 formats, providing a reliable, straightforward laminating solution for Australian offices, schools, and reception environments. Laminating protects frequently handled documents including menus, reference cards, certificates, maps, and ID cards from damage, moisture, and wear. The A3 format suits laminating larger-format documents and multiple A4 pages simultaneously for higher throughput in busy environments.
Rexel Document Shredders
Rexel document shredders provide secure document destruction for Australian businesses and home offices handling sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information. The Rexel Momentum X410 cross-cut shredder and the Rexel Auto+ Optimum 225X auto-feed shredder both provide cross-cut shredding, which cuts documents into small rectangular particles that are significantly more secure than strip-cut shredding. The Optimum auto-feed model accepts a stack of documents and shreds them automatically without manual feeding, making it a time-saving choice for busy offices with regular shredding requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between cross-cut and micro-cut shredding?
Cross-cut shredders cut documents into small rectangular pieces, providing a good level of security for most business and home office document destruction requirements. Micro-cut shredders go further, cutting documents into very small square or diamond-shaped particles that are much harder to reconstruct, providing a higher level of security suited to documents containing financial account numbers, medical records, legal documents, and other highly sensitive information. Rexel's cross-cut models are suitable for most everyday business document destruction requirements. For the highest security applications, look for a DIN security level P-4 or above cross-cut or micro-cut shredder.
Do I need an A3 laminator or is A4 sufficient?
For most Australian home offices and small businesses, an A4 laminator is sufficient. An A3 laminator is worth the investment if you regularly laminate A3 documents, large menus, posters, or maps, or if you want to laminate two A4 documents simultaneously side by side for faster throughput. A3 laminators also accept A4 and smaller pouches, so they are backward compatible with all smaller document sizes. If your laminating needs are primarily A4 and smaller, an A4 model is the more practical and space-efficient choice.
