3D Printing
Bambu Lab 3D Printing in Australia
The 3D Printing collection at Everyday Home Living covers the complete Bambu Lab range available in Australia, including desktop 3D printers, multi-material AMS systems, and filaments across PLA, PETG, TPU, and specialty materials. Bambu Lab has established itself as a leading brand for desktop FDM printing, producing machines that deliver fast, high-quality results with automated calibration that reduces the manual setup traditionally required to achieve consistent prints.
The range is suited to a wide spectrum of users: beginners looking for a reliable first printer that works well out of the box, hobbyists printing decorative and functional projects at home, makers and designers prototyping parts, and small businesses producing short-run components or custom products. Multi-colour printing via the Automatic Material System brings capabilities previously available only on professional machines to the desktop.
Printers, Filament, and Accessories
Browse the range by product type to find what you need. The 3D printers collection covers all Bambu Lab printer models from the compact A1 Mini through to the large-format H series, available as standalone units and combo packs with AMS multi-material systems pre-included. The filament range covers all Bambu Lab materials in a wide variety of colours, including PLA Basic, PLA Matte, PLA Silk, PETG, TPU, and composite materials such as PLA-CF. The accessories collection covers AMS units, AMS 2 Pro systems, and AMS Lite for A series printers.
Choosing a Bambu Lab Printer
The A series suits beginners and users who want reliable single or multi-colour printing in an open-frame format at a lower entry price. The P series adds an enclosure for printing temperature-sensitive materials including ABS and carbon-fibre composites that require a stable ambient temperature. The X series builds on the P series with additional automated features and a faster multi-material toolhead. The H series provides a larger build volume for users who need to print oversized parts in a single piece.
All Bambu Lab printers use Bambu Studio slicing software, which provides automated print profile selection, cloud-connected print monitoring via the Bambu Handy app, and compatibility with third-party slicers including Orca Slicer for users who prefer manual control over print settings.
What is FDM 3D printing?
FDM stands for Fused Deposition Modelling, the most widely used desktop 3D printing technology. An FDM printer melts a plastic filament and deposits it in thin layers on a build plate, building up a three-dimensional object from the bottom up. Each layer fuses to the one below as it cools. The process is well suited to producing functional prototypes, mechanical parts, enclosures, and decorative objects from a wide range of thermoplastic materials.
Do I need any experience to use a Bambu Lab printer?
No prior experience is required to get started with a Bambu Lab printer, particularly the A1 and A1 Mini. Bambu Lab printers include automated bed levelling, flow calibration, and vibration compensation that run before each print, removing the manual tuning that makes many other printers challenging for beginners. Bambu Studio software includes pre-configured print profiles for common materials and provides a guided workflow from file import through to print completion.
What materials can Bambu Lab printers use?
Bambu Lab printers support a wide range of FDM materials. Open-frame A series models handle PLA, PETG, and TPU reliably. Enclosed P, X, and H series models additionally support ABS, ASA, PA (nylon), PC (polycarbonate), and carbon-fibre and glass-fibre composite filaments that require a stable printing environment to prevent warping. Bambu Lab filaments include optimised print profiles in Bambu Studio for the best results, but third-party 1.75mm filaments are also compatible.
What is the difference between the AMS and the AMS Lite?
The AMS (Automatic Material System) and AMS 2 Pro are full-featured multi-material units compatible with P, X, and H series Bambu Lab printers, supporting four filament spools with automatic filament switching and a filament buffering system. The AMS Lite is a simplified version designed specifically for A series printers (A1 and A1 Mini), supporting four spools without the buffering tube system used on the full AMS. Both enable multi-colour and multi-material printing without manual filament changes.
